@oliviawilde : Such an honor to present the @nbrfilm Freedom of Expression award to the incredible director, Alexandria Bombach (@alexandriajb), for her documentary “On Her Shoulders” about Iraqi human rights activist, and survivor of human trafficking, Nadia Murad. Since 2015, Nadia has been working to bring ISIS before the International Criminal Court on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity. The film is not what you expect. It’s a completely different way of discussing empathy and the overwhelming responsibility of being a survivor with a spotlight. Congratulations to Alexandria, @ryot.films, producer @haypaiger, and exec producer @brynmooser. 👏 👏👏👏👏
