Could #VWars be ANY MORE FRICKING TIMELY IF WE TRIED?! This is the scene where you meet my character in #VWars Scene 1 for Dr. Swann. When we were writing this scene, we knew we had a show about a virus that is spreading. SO. Right out of the gate we have to know that my character is a caring, kind and a well-respected Dr. in the field of infectious disease. Little did we know that the stock market was going to plunge and that entire countries would be quarantined. I hate what’s happening in our world right now but I’m so grateful to have access to the greatest epidemiologists in the world and I can’t wait to collaborate with you all telling this story in VWars. This DOES absolutely SUCK. I truly hope that we get a hold on the flu and corona virus soon. Our souls, our economies, our families and our medical systems can’t take it. Life is hard enough out there. Please please please be courteous to us all. Wash your hands often, don’t sneeze, cough and hack all over public areas... That’s not cool! I’m literally watching people sneeze into their hands and wipe it on their pants and the arm rest and then reach out to me and ask for a picture! Who does that!? I’m mean I love you all but come on 😌We’re all in this together! There are older people, people with compromised immune systems and of course those of us that have babies that are so susceptible. Dear Kobe, I wish that this letter had gotten to you while you were still on this earth with us. I’m quite sure that we would’ve been friends. While we only got to shake hands a half dozen times over the last 20 years, there was never a moment that I walked away from you not feeling inspired. You were 19 and I was 18 when we first met. When asked how you explain the complexity of death to your kids you simply said that you told them or to the effect of “That when a person dies they become made of stars.” Monday morning after your horrible crash, my little 2.5 yr old giggling daughter picked THIS shirt out of all of her shirts to wear.This tiny little girl in this tiny little shirt just rocked me and tears just streamed from my eyes. While no man is perfect & I’m not pretending to know your personal life, I respectfully only know the hardworking man who inspired millions and millions of us. A man that was proud of his family and cherished them. Your passion to invest in youth is what always struck me as such a powerful, smart & courageous element of your life. A gift to the world.To us all. None of us can comprehend the unimaginable pain & sadness that your beautiful wife and family are experiencing right now. This has hit and rocked our households in a way that I could have never thought. Family harvest day, one of many... With our little helper. Bonding while picking our greens and watching our little girl’s growing connection with the beautiful dark soil in her tiny hands as a living breathing organism that gives life to her breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner is beyond special. And necessary. We need the world as a whole, not just our kids to know how to nourish ourselves and our planet’s soil. The soil is our biggest asset and yet MOST of the world’s food producers have no clue how their soil even works. This should scare you and them. You can create healthy soil and can grow food on a windowsill in New York City, Los Angeles or a backyard farm in Ohio. BUT I offer you this with much excitement and please mark my words: when large-scale agriculture turns to regenerative agriculture and our growing food eats our carbon output every year AND eats the legacy load of carbon in the air by a process called bio sequestration aka DRAWNDOWN (read Paul Hawken) climate change will STOP. We AND our children will thrive. Its our DUTY. There simply will be no more Australian or California bush fires. No more melting ice or bleaching coral. THIS is our only hope. The amount of planes over Europe, the United stares and Mexico right now... Think of the amount of fuel and carbon in our atmosphere in one day. It’s mind blowing isn’t it. It was hard for me to imagine how much pollution is up there every second of every day. I’m a part of it too... What do we do? What is the solution? We can draw this carbon down with agriculture. Unfortunately adult humans send their older pets to the shelter to be put down or adopted or put them on Craigslist to make room for puppies around the holidays... It’s not fair. If you or someone you know have done this or intend to do this please discourage them. Pets are members of our families and do NOT deserve to be abandoned or hrown out for new little ones...

Me at 17 years old. An America Eagle campaign in the summer of 1996. This was shot in the middle of no where on famous Route 66 at an old desert cafe in the California. How different 1996 was. I hope I don’t come off as an ass... A woman just stopped me in the grocery store and told me that she had never seen a basket like mine.I told her that I have never NOT seen this type of basket in my grocery-shopping behavior.A few others chimed in saying that it was a very strange sight! I know our system isn’t great.Yet, the public poisons itself daily with bad food choices. Food is medicine and medicine is food. It’s a fact. If we want to see our healthcare system changed, be a healthier society- and it will. How does that sound? Logical right? I don’t mean to sound like a dick- or preachy but this is nuts: how is it, that grown professional people in a major American city have never seen a grocery basket full of normal&healthy foods that just all happen to be green or not processed.We’re so far down the rabbit hole of packaged and “convenient” foods that our society is paying the price&so is our future.No one in our government is helping us be healthier through education.Why would they?Sick people are GREAT for business... It’s pretty simple:If you want to look well, feel well and BE well- just eat well. Obviously excersise as well, as much as you can.Everything else will start to fall into place.My mom raised me on no money&mostly as a single parent yet, she still ate well&exercised and it shaped my life.We make excuses why we can’t find the time to take care of ourselves and we end up past the point of no return... Just found this: A season wrap on the Vampire Diaries, maybe Season 3,4or 5 I’m not sure. I took this in the mirror of Damon’s dressing room to remember how worn down I was but smiling- That’s a nebulizer I’m sucking on-shooting pharmaceutical hydrogen peroxide into my lungs to keep from collapsing from an infection. Supplements, oxygen chambers flying around like a maniac making a TV show and trying to build companies while building @isfofficial . Be careful. Ambition can be dangerous... I’ve found this image and wanted to share it. We’ve lost amazing men and women recently who really helped change the world but their bodies perished from the pressure and abuse of running too hard and not taking care of themselves. I’m humbly searching for that balance and I wish you all luck in finding it. Meditation helps, I use transcendental mediation or TM- it’s super easy. Just remember this- we don’t actually need much to live happy lives. We, as humans firmly believe more and more and more and more “things” will make us happy. Unfortunately they don’t make us happy. Our buying patterns just fuels economies ... Our kids deserve to grow up not seeing us staring at these little glowing devices in our hands. I hide around corners and under pillows so my little one doesn’t see it... Our babies need us present to teach them and to listen to them. It’s the only way to build a loving and sustainable society. At least that’s what I think- take it or leave it;)

My quiet garage alone time with the new scripts in my wooden capsule of healing heat, light and sound. I haven’t broken down another character in 9 years... it’s very special. Very fun. At 12:11 PM PST this beautiful girl took her last breath. Quietly cancer had filled this amazing girl of mine and there was nothing any of us could do. I’ve never known a more incredible animal. A soul that spoke 1,000 languages. Kid, I will miss you and anyone that ever got to know you will miss you. Countless flights, 100nights in the airstream, driving across the country, jumping in every lake- river- stream and ocean there was, just for a splash and to be happy.
