@vanessalachey : I don’t have any baking recipes passed down from generations and growing up I didn’t have a ton of cooking traditions since my mom left when I was a little girl. Brooklyn is only 4, but she recently reminded me that traditions can start with US. I told her Uncle Drew was coming into town and we can celebrate his birthday. She told me she wanted to bake him a chocolate cake. After her bath, her first thought was to put on her Christmas jammies to bake. So without even knowing it, when she thinks of baking, she thinks of the Holidays. My heart melted watching her watch the cake rise in her Santa footie pajamas. It made me feel so good to start something new with my little girl. #TheTraditionCanStartWithYou ❤️
