@clarencehouse : Nearly 50 years ago, on 1st July 1969, Prince Charles was formally invested with the title of The Prince of Wales by Her Majesty The Queen. Before the Investiture, The Prince spent a term at the University College of Wales at Aberystwyth, learning to speak Welsh, and after being Invested HRH embarked on a tour of Wales. Since then The Prince has spent a great deal of time in Wales, and in 2007 bought a house in Llandovery called Llwynywermod.
