@sophiabush : Well this was a highlight. Being a host of #BeatBobbyFlay with the inimitable, funny, bold, charismatic, and oh so cool @carlaphall was so much fun. Do y’all know that Carla has incredible comedic timing, and can sing, and does voice overs, and is basically the coolest chick on earth!? I learned, I laughed, I ate! I chased down a PA with a plate so I could eat some more... • And then @bobbyflay was kind enough to host a friend and I at GATO. Y’all. Real talk. I was blown away. Not just by the kale and mushroom paella (which was beyond bomb) but by Bobby. Now, @chefsymon has always told me what a good dude Bobby is, and that we’ve all got to be pals. So last night, he came to sit with my best friend and I for a bit. We talked about his daughter and how he sees the world around and for her. About responsibility. About social movements. About what #MeToo means to him as a man, an ally, and a father. He shared his theories on what makes a true gentleman. It was rad, moving, and beautiful. So, my new friend, hats off to you. Thank you for being a man who is for women! For offering us all a seat at your table, both literally and figuratively.
