@jamieoliver : I found a load of lost old photos today & one of them was this little cracker, the night @oprah Winfrey turned up at my restaurant @jamiesfifteen in London, this was such a moment for me and my students, we had just opened and she was really interested in my unconventional project that took unemployed kids that needed a break to train them to be amazing chefs/ creative thinkers and hopefully inspiring leaders in the future. I was so young and naive but full of verve and determination and just enough skills - @jamiesfifteen stole peoples hearts and imaginations and the food was also really bloody good ! 15 years on and my students have come so far and we did help create leaders who do actually run kitchens, own great restaurants and work around food and food education, we did accomplish what we set out to do . Never underestimate young people, where ever they come from, I believe everyone has he capacity to be amazing and find happiness in a craft. As for Oprah she was as wonderful and elegant and kind as you would expect ! 💪💗 but at the time this picture was taken, I would never have dreamed that I would work for her on her presenting her first ever prime time tv show in America on ABC .... a wonderful experience and a very special lady for sure 👍 happy Friday
