Diane, one of my oldest and dearest friends, and the Godmother to one of my daughters gave birth to her own beautiful angel on July 6th 2019, but her sweet little soul had already gone to back to heaven after 39weeks in her mother’s belly. It’s a devastating tragedy, but her family is turning it into something beautiful, and building a handicapped accessible boat dock for a cause that has been a huge part of Diane’s life, since as long as I have known her. You can read more about all of this by clicking the link that I put in my story (swipe up), and if you feel called to donate then that’s amazing as well, but more then anything a simple prayer for her and her loved ones would be appreciated just as much. I am so proud of my friend for sharing her story, and maybe connecting to anyone else who has gone through something like this unimaginable tragedy. 2nd place🏆Undefeated all weekend, until the championship game... unfortunately, but I have to admit it...My husband was right about something. This only happens like once a year, so here’s the story ........... . . Switching from a C-class team to a B-class team is like two different worlds, and there has been an adjustment period for all the girls. So, there were times where I wished we could have just stayed in C-class, because I hated seeing our girls feel less confident then they were use to being. Now, I can admit, I was wrong, because our coaches knew that these girls were tougher then any of the rest of us did. Yes, it would have been nice and easy to be able to stay in C-class, and let the girls keep playing at that level and winning, but you can’t grow if you’re not being challenged- that’s true in every aspect of life. Again, reassuring me that so many life lessons are learned in team sports. We all want to see our kids succeed, and sometimes that makes watching them go through growing pains hard, and it would be so nice to give them the easy way out, but that would be doing them a disservice. Over the past few months, I have watched not just my child, but all of these girls grow in so many ways. I have watched them fight through some really tough moments where they use to would have given up, they don’t let one mistake determine the rest of their actions, they have taken unfair calls and handled them like champs, they have played through tears, they have built each other up when one is down, above everything they kept showing up, an doing the work, even when they were not getting the result they wanted, and slowly they are seeing it start to pay off.. and THAT’S what builds character. I believe that is what all this is really about, its not about the silly stuff, like who hit the most homeruns, but it’s about teaching our kids to challenge themselves to be the best versions of themselves everyday, and letting them learn that more then half the time life d

I love sharing my favorite things with y'all and one thing I've been loving recently is the @peanut app, it's amazing 💕💕. The app is all about connecting moms to find friendship and support. As y'all know, I was a very young mother, and I would've loved to have a resource like this when I had Maddie. Having 2 kids 10 years apart, it’s like being a brand new mom all over again. I had sooo many questions, especially the first time Ivey got sick. Instead of texting a bunch of people on my phone, I just went on @peanut and within a few minutes I had answers from a bunch of real moms. The app works by introducing you to women in your neighborhood based on the things you have in common—interests, mutual friends, age/gender of your children, and so much more! You can meet, chat and ask questions to a community of women who just get it.
