@cturlington : Happy Birthday to us! My daughter Grace was born 10.23.03 and her birth changed my life forever. We had every option available to us and we opted for our midwife led team to support us in a birthing center in NYC that is soon to close forever. She was two weeks overdue when she entered the world, the force that she is. On her time, in her own way. We were lucky to receive the care we got but too many are not as fortunate. Grace is my greatest teacher and also a fellow woman who I respect and admire daily. Thank you for the blessing and awakening through your birth, daughter. I am grateful for the gifts you bring and the welcomed challenge of mothering you. I love you with my whole self.
