The beauty of what dance can be is being stripped from her, it’s infuriating and heart wrenching to watch.” Dance is about freedom, about love, connection and passion. There is a difference between coaching and having discipline in your craft and then there is THIS! Using a stick to demonstrate is never necessary. That is a tool used to evoke FEAR!! It’s a disgusting act of power and control that we must shed light on. I pray in my heart and soul that this little angel has people or a place where she feels safe and free to dance with joy and to just be a little girl!
