That’s if we’re lucky. If we don’t take this seriously, we will be on track to match or surpass Italy in both infection and mortality rates. The current mortality rate in Italy is 7.3% (cited by @reptedlieu just this morning). This is not a drill. This is a pandemic. Please take it seriously. • And while doing so, remember not to panic. Share resources. Shop for elderly neighbors. Get some fresh air while you stay away from everyone but the people you directly live with. And while you’re home, call your Senators and ask them to pass the emergency assistance bill that passed in the house, so that folks can stay home with pay. Demand it. Mitch McConnell may think this is the time for a three day weekend, but health experts say otherwise. #COVID—19
