@menasuvari : #TBT to when I had the privilege to travel to and enjoy the beautiful city of #Cologne, Germany. Visiting the birthplace of perfume was extraordinary (I’ve included a bit of a blurb on the genesis of it all below👌🏼) and waking up to this view (caption below as well)was beyond words. 🙏🏼 I’m not a big one for “religion”, per se, but that is one incredible feat of architecture and design, I must say!!! This perfume, being a real sensation at the time, contributed to Cologne’s global fame. Being the very first perfume of its kind on the market, the word "Cologne" quickly became a household name. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ -Construction of Cologne Cathedral began in 1248 but was halted in 1473, unfinished. Work did not restart until the 1840s, and the edifice was completed to its original Medieval plan in 1880. The cathedral is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europ
