@samheughan : Saddened to hear of the passing of Geoffrey Wellum. Amongst a full life of achievements, he was was the youngest pilot to fly in the Battle of Britain. Youthful, energetic, witty and humble. He claimed not to be a hero and honoured all those he knew that were lost in WW2. Rest in Peace Geoff. A privilege to meet him briefly and portray him in the adaptation of his incredible book “First Light”. I know he’s soaring above us all now, without the need for a “Spit”. X
